Made in Brazil

In an exciting new project of international collaboration, Taklit began publishing works in 2009 by Brazilian artists under the new label Made in Brazil.

This will include development of Taklit's own publishing catalogue in South America.

Made in Brazil represents our desire to strengthen cultural and commercial relations between Brazil and France through music, encourage dialogue between artists of different styles and cultural backgrounds, and to foster awareness for the many facets of contemporary, musical culture of both countries beyond market standards and stereotypes.

This catalogue will contain diverse and rare musical forms, from roots and classical to jazz and electronic trends. Its style, color and feel is an extraordinary complement to Taklit's own musical catalogue and particularly well adapted to cinematographic use.

Made in Brazil
supports the work of up and coming ensembles like Quatro a Zero bringing new perpective to world jazz through a contemporary view of  Brazilian Choro.

Here, sophisticated, contemporary improvisation and the unexpected sound of piano, electric guitar, electric bass and drums replace the traditional, regional sound of guitars, cavaco, pandeiro, and flute or mandoline found in traditional Choro. Modern, precise and the required dose of humor.
Quatro a Zero is comprised of Daniel Muller (piano), Danilo Penteado (electric bass), Eduardo Lobo (electric guitar) and Lucas da Rosa (drums/percussion).

Fina Estampa's music with its aesthetically rich instrumentation (clarinet, clarone, tenor sax, 7 string guitar, electric bass, mandolin, small guitar, drums and percussion). It features originals works by the group's members including  Joana QUEIROZ, Maria BERALDO BASTOS, André RIBEIRO, Danilo PENTEADO and Eduardo LOBO.

Fina Estampa's album is produced by Mauricio CARRILHO, an important and well-known figure in contemporary Choro.
