Preventing violence, unmasking it with words and music is what this musical is all about. In this story, three children are hiding with their mother in a giant book of fairytales, hoping to reach the Land of Freedom.

Searching for Stars is a work of fiction based on the true experience of a 12-year old Jewish girl in Paris in 1942. It is a tribute to those who show courage in the face of violence and treachery, an hommage those who save them.

A project which opened the door in Paris classrooms to discussions between teachers and students about the Holocaust, Searching for Stars poetically sings of tolerance and justice and recalls the duty of remembrance - teaching about the violence and freedom is not solely the task of parents or teachers, it is incumbant on us all.

Past performances of this musical have been held with students from the Louis Pasteur, Gach, Graulhet and Jean Jaurès d'Albi junior high schools in Aix Marseille, and with students from the Graulhet conservatory, under the direction of Mme Mylène Arbus in 2009.

In 2008, A la Recherche des Etoiles was performed by students from the Paris Consevatory
